I can’t run but

Day 19 of blogging!

I think Paul Simon’s song “I can’t run but” is about how society tries to run towards what is believed to be progressive, but as we do, do we lose our humanity in some sense? "The food we contemplate,” "The woman was laughing in advance,” "The music suffers" are all lines of poetry about losing our humanity. These lyrics are part of yet another fantastic PS song!

In today’s social experiment, we have people willing to die rather than ‘go against’ what the last administration professed. We hit 900,000 COVID deaths yesterday. How many of those deaths could have been prevented? And the death count continues to climb.
