I am doing a life-experience blog every day till our book comes out, and the blogs will have something in common with one of Paul Simon’s songs.

“Kathy’s Song”

I’ve long been interested in the weather. Maybe it stems from my years of camping or fishing in the ocean? Watching for inclement weather has just been ‘my thing.’ I will monitor for hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, and heatwaves. I will study NOAA’s website and several weather radar apps on my phone and try to be the first to bring attention to a climactic disaster approaching. I don’t really get frightened during storms, though, just the opposite really; they calm me in many ways. I love the sounds of the wind and thunder and rain hitting the roof and windows. I can sleep better amid a storm than on a calm night as long as I'm prepared for what's coming!
